Welcome to WikiPaintball
WikiPaintball is an independent, collaborative encyclopedia dedicated to documenting and preserving the history of paintball around the world.
From the earliest games and equipment manufacturers to the teams, tournaments, playing fields, organisations and people who shaped the sport, WikiPaintball aims to preserve the stories and achievements of the global paintball community.
Preserving Paintball History
Paintball has an incredible history, but much of it is disappearing.
Old websites have vanished. Forums that once connected thousands of players have shut down. Magazines have gone out of print, businesses have closed, and social media pages have been deleted. Photographs, tournament results and other records have been lost, while the people who helped build the sport are growing older or passing away.
Too much of paintball's history exists only in people's memories, scattered photo albums, forgotten websites and boxes of old magazines.
WikiPaintball exists to collect, document and preserve that history before more of it is lost.
Our goal is to build a lasting, publicly accessible record of the sport, including professional and amateur competition, recreational paintball, local playing fields, equipment, organisations and the people who made it all happen.
Every team, tournament, field and player has a story worth remembering.
Explore by Region
WikiPaintball aims to document and preserve paintball history from around the world.
The project is beginning with New Zealand and Malta, where we have the most existing knowledge, historical material and connections within the paintball community.
These are our starting points, not our limits. As more contributors and historical records become available, WikiPaintball will expand its coverage across every continent.

Help Preserve Paintball History
Were you there? Do you remember something we've missed?
Paintball history isn't just found in official records. It's in old tournament programmes, team photographs, magazines, newspaper clippings, field advertisements and the memories of the people who participated.
We're interested in historical material of all kinds:
- Old photographs, videos and tournament footage
- Tournament results, team rosters and event programmes
- Stories about former teams, playing fields and leagues
- Historical magazines, newspaper articles and advertisements
- Information about early equipment and manufacturers
- Personal recollections from players, referees, organisers and industry figures
Even a small detail can help complete a much larger story.
WikiPaintball aims to distinguish documented facts from personal recollections and information that still needs verification. Wherever possible, articles include references to original sources.
If you have information, photographs or historical material to share, we'd love to hear from you.
About WikiPaintball
WikiPaintball is an independent historical preservation project. It is not affiliated with any particular commercial paintball company, manufacturer, league or governing body.
The project begins with New Zealand and Malta because these are the areas where its founder has the most direct knowledge and connections.
The long-term goal is to develop a comprehensive international encyclopedia, supported by contributions from paintball communities around the world.
WikiPaintball is a work in progress. New articles, corrections and additional historical material will continue to improve the accuracy and completeness of the encyclopedia.
Paintball's history belongs to the people who made it. Let's make sure it isn't forgotten.
