Semi-finals
[edit]Destiny defeated the opening-event champions Dallas Vibe to reach a second consecutive final. Contemporary coverage highlighted Kary Blanco's attacking play and the supporting backline work of Katie Kelley and Kat Secor.[2]
The Heroines defeated Femmes Fatale. The league report described Alex Del Mar winning a one-against-four situation late in that match.[2]
Final
[edit]Destiny scored first, but the Heroines equalised and then established a 5–1 lead. Destiny added another point before the Heroines secured the championship 5–2.[2]
The NXL recap selected Alicia Valdivia as its WNXL most valuable player, highlighting her attacking contribution throughout the Heroines' six victories.[2]
The published WNXL score record does not list a third-place match. The final results placed Dallas Vibe third and Femmes Fatale fourth.[3][4]
Related women's competition
[edit]A separate Women's Open three-player competition was held during the wider event. Journey won ahead of Femmes Family and Diamonds' Edge. This category used three-minute games and was separate from professional WNXL X-Ball.[1][4]
Next championship round
[edit]The WNXL's next professional round was the 2022 WNXL World Cup. The contemporary recap identified World Cup as the concluding event of the inaugural season.[2]
