PSG Charlie (Singapore Paintball Team)
PSG Charlie was an all-female paintball team composed of Filipino expatriates based in Singapore. The team competed in the Singapore Paintball Novice Series (SPNS) and Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC) during 2008.[1][2]
PSG Charlie was among the earliest documented all-female teams competing in Singapore's organised tournament paintball scene.
History
Singapore Paintball Novice Series (2008)
PSG Charlie made a documented appearance at the second round of the 2008 Singapore Paintball Novice Series, held at Red Dynasty Paintball Park in June.
The tournament attracted 15 teams, including eight new entrants. PSG Charlie was specifically identified in contemporary coverage as an all-female team from the Philippines.[1]
The competition was part of Singapore's inaugural national tournament series, which used a three-player mechanical paintball format.
The event was won by PSG Warfreakz, another team composed of Filipino expatriates.[1][3]
Malaysian competition
PSG Charlie also competed internationally in the Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit during 2008.
A report published by Paintball in Singapore 101 on 26 November 2008 confirmed that the team participated in the second MPOC event and advanced to the second round of competition.[2]
The report identified PSG Charlie as an established all-female team before the introduction of Singapore's Team Atrox later that year.
