Super 5s (New Zealand)
Super 5s was a New Zealand tournament paintball series documented during the 2000s. Archived discussions from the NZ Paintball Message Boards record a multi-round competition in 2004, while surviving results from 2007 identify teams including Legion, Menace, Nemisis and Sinista.[1][2][3]
The available archive does not establish the series' inaugural or final season, complete organisational history or every venue used.
History
2004 season
The earliest presently identified Super 5s records date from 2004.
An archived NZ Paintball Message Forum index from June 2004 listed separate discussions for February, March, April, May and June rounds.[1] The February thread was explicitly identified as a results discussion, while another thread announced that the April event date had been moved.
The same forum index contained a general discussion titled Super5 2004, started by Rob Maddox. Phantom Matt started the February results thread and discussions concerning the March, April and May rounds. Blade64NZ started the June discussion.[1]
A later capture from October 2004 retained discussions concerning the February, March, April and May competitions.[2] The surviving index pages establish that a multi-round series was active during 2004, although most individual thread contents and results have not been recovered.
2007 season
The Super 5s continued or was revived by 2007. Surviving forum research identifies at least seven scheduled rounds during that season, although complete results have not been recovered for every event.
The sixth round was held on 26 August 2007. Results published the following day recorded Legion in first place with 697 points, followed by Nemisis, Sinista and Menace.[3]

The archived Round 6 discussion also included cumulative championship standings. Those standings require further verification before publication.

Surviving information about the Super 5s is preserved principally through archived pages from the NZ Paintball Message Forum, which was associated with Paintball.co.nz.
The forum indexes preserve discussion titles, authors and activity dates even where individual threads were not captured. These dates record forum activity and should not automatically be treated as tournament dates.
The currently recovered material does not establish the series' complete results, rules, organisers or venue history.
