Paintball career

New Zealand paintball

Mumby was involved in the New Zealand paintball community during the 2000s, including paintball activities in the Rotorua area.

He was associated with the organisation of local paintball activities and participated in tournament competition.

Team Kiwi (2004)

In 2004, Mumby travelled to Malaysia as a member of Team Kiwi, a New Zealand team assembled for international competition at Xtion Paintball in Kuala Lumpur.

The reported lineup included:

Team Kiwi finished fifth, with its elimination following a match against Mana Wave.[1]

Asia Pacific Paintball Championship (2005)

Mumby returned to Malaysia in 2005 as part of a separate Team Kiwi lineup competing at the Asia Pacific Paintball Championship.

The tournament began on 30 September 2005 at Xtion Paintball in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

The reported team included Mumby, Michael Earley, Gavin Mumby and Jason Newport.[2]

The team's final placing has not been established from available tournament records.

Later Team Kiwi activity

Mumby was reportedly associated with another group using the Team Kiwi name during the early 2010s.

This later activity was also associated with Jason Newport and the period when the New Zealand Paintball Players League held events at Lock N Load Paintball in Auckland.

Possible participation in Australian tournaments has been reported, but specific event records have not been confirmed.[3]
