Tanamera Paintball Park (Malaysia)
Tanamera Paintball Park is a recreational paintball venue in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia. Documented activities include scenario games, corporate outings and rounds of Malaysian woodsball competitions.[1][2][3]
History
[edit]Tanamera was operating by June 2008. A contemporary Kuala Lumpur Bar report described a paintball outing held at the park on 14 June, including games across several themed playing areas.[1]
The park's own website advertised recreational sessions, corporate events, private parties, small tournaments and big games.[2]
Playing areas
[edit]Tanamera's website listed themed playing areas including Kill House, Vietcong Village, American Airbase, Somalia Town, POW Camp and Lake Placid.[2]
The Kuala Lumpur Bar's 2008 report described Lake Placid as an oil-palm plantation playing area with a small lake and a barrel-retrieval objective. It also described a hillside elimination game at the Vietcong field and a jungle scenario centred on a hut at Kill House.[1]
Tournament involvement
[edit]A historical account published by the Malaysia Woodsball League organiser identified Tanamera among the venues working with Delta Paintball during the introduction of Ultimate Woodsball League competition in Malaysia in 2010.[4]
Tanamera hosted the opening round of the 2011 Tactical Paintball Championship. The organiser's programme listed the venue as Tanamera Paintballcity and scheduled the round for 15 May 2011. A.O.D subsequently recorded fifth place at the Tanamera round in its team profile.[3][5]
