PSG Warfreakz was a Singapore-based paintball team comprising Filipino expatriates. The team won the Singapore Paintball Novice Series overall championship in 2008, including victory at the second leg.[1][2]
History
[edit]Early participation
[edit]PSG Warfreakz participated in all three legs of the 2008 Singapore Paintball Novice Series. The team defeated Red Shadows in the Leg 2 final, with White Death finishing third.[1][2]
Two podium finishes across the season gave PSG Warfreakz sufficient points to become the inaugural SPNS overall champions.[2]
In October 2008, the team competed in Division 4 at the final leg of the Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit in Johor Bahru, finishing second.[3]
Community and later competition
[edit]A retrospective account published in 2012 described PSG Warfreakz as part of a group of more than 40 Filipino paintball enthusiasts who organised speedball and recreational games in Johor Bahru.[4]
A participant's October 2010 account described former PSG Warfreakz players assembling a team for the 2010 Singapore Paintball Series. The group also entered a second team named PSG Warriors. The author's team reached the quarter-finals after winning four of its six preliminary games.[5]
In June 2012, former teammates entered two teams in Operation Velocity Wipeout at Novena's Velocity mall. According to the participant's account, Team Alpha progressed to the grand finals and finished as runner-up.[4]
