Nexa (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Nexa was a New Zealand tournament paintball team documented in the 2007 Super 5s. The team's first documented appearance was in the fourth round on 24 June 2007, where it finished twelfth with 160 points.[1]
The contemporary report associated the entry with Nexa Paintball Supplies.[1] This description does not establish the team's formation date, ownership or complete roster.
History
[edit]Nexa entered the fourth round of the 2007 Super 5s at A Paintball Adventure in Papakura, Auckland. The tournament used a five-player hopper-ball format.[1][2]
The team recorded one victory during the round, defeating Sinista. It finished twelfth among twelve teams with 160 points.[1]
Nexa did not appear in the published results for the July or August rounds. The interim Division Two standings published after the sixth round retained Nexa in eighth place with 160 championship points.[2] These were interim standings rather than a verified final championship result.
The surviving Super 5s team-information post contains a Nexa heading but supplies no player names.[2]
A separately advertised 2007 NEXA 5s Championship used the supplier's name. The surviving announcement does not establish that the Nexa team entered that proposed tournament or that the event was completed.[3][4]
