Adrenalin (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Adrenalin was a New Zealand competitive paintball team documented in tournament competition during 2010 and 2011. The team competed at the 2010 Hawke's Bay Triples and finished fifth in the Cup at the 2011 NZPPL Rotorua Tournament.[1][2]
The spelling Adrenalin is preserved from the contemporary tournament records. The team should not be confused with unrelated overseas teams using Adrenalin or Adrenaline names.
History

[edit]Adrenalin competed at the 2010 Hawke's Bay Triples. Two contemporary scoreboard photographs taken on 7 February 2010 list the team as `ADRENALIN` among 16 entries.[1]
The same scoreboard explicitly records final placings for the leading six teams:

Adrenalin appears in the match grid, but the surviving scoreboard does not assign the team an overall placing. Its result should therefore be recorded as confirmed participation rather than reconstructed from incomplete scores.[1]
2011 NZPPL Rotorua Tournament
[edit]Adrenalin competed at the 2011 NZPPL Rotorua Tournament, held during Queen's Birthday weekend at Lakes Ranch near Rotorua.[2][3]
The published preliminary table records Adrenalin playing each of the other ten teams. The team accumulated a reported total of 510 points and qualified for the Cup.[2]

The source prints `Pheonix` and `Skillz`; those spellings are retained here as scoreboard data rather than silently corrected.[2]

The final order was posted from memory and subsequently repeated in the discussion. It should therefore be described as a contemporary reported placing rather than an official result sheet.[2]
2011 NZPPL Nationals entry
[edit]On 15 October 2011, an organiser published what was described as the final 19-team count for the 2011 NZPPL Nationals. Adrenalin was included in the list.[4]
The surviving discussion confirms the entry but does not contain a starting roster, complete results or an Adrenalin placing. The record is therefore treated as an entry rather than confirmed participation.

Team identity
[edit]The 2010 and 2011 New Zealand entries are treated as the same team based on contributor clarification. No separate New Zealand Adrenalin entry has been identified in the inspected tournament records.
An `Adrenalin Promotion Easter 2006` forum topic concerned a commercial promotion rather than establishing a tournament appearance by the team. It is not included in the team's competitive history.[5]
Possible relationship with Adrenalin Paintball Sports
[edit]Adrenalin Paintball Sports Limited operated a paintball venue at Paraparaumu and later hosted NZPPL competition.[6] The similar name, lower North Island location and the team's participation in NZPPL events make a relationship plausible, but the available sources do not identify Adrenalin as the field's official team.
No team roster, management statement, home-field listing or contemporary field announcement has been recovered linking the team directly to Adrenalin Paintball Sports. A formal relationship should not be stated unless additional evidence is found.
Players
[edit]No complete or partial playing roster has been securely recovered for Adrenalin.
Names appearing as authors, organisers or participants in discussions surrounding the same tournaments are not treated as Adrenalin players unless a source explicitly connects them with the team.
