2024 WCPL season

The 2024 WCPL season was a United States tournament programme of the World Classic Paintball League. PBLeagues listed four events in California, Florida and Missouri, each offering Open ten-player competition.[1]

The surviving records include scored matches from the Florida Open, but the league's 2024 PBLeagues season page does not publish a championship standings table.[2][3]

Calendar

Dates below are the published event dates. An event listing or registration record does not by itself establish that the tournament took place.[1]

Published dates	Event	Venue	Location	Verified record
23 March 2024	2024 WCPL Southern California Classic	SC Village Paintball Park	Corona, California	Event and registration listing
6–7 April 2024	2024 WCPL Florida Open	Panhandle Paintball	Holt, Florida	Event listing and scored matches
10–11 August 2024	2024 WCPL California Classic	Shooter's All Season Paintball and Airsoft	Nicolaus, California	Event and registration listing
12–13 October 2024	2024 WCPL St. Louis Classic	Gateway Paintball Park	Bridgeton, Missouri	Event and registration listing

The Southern California event's date heading specifies 23 March, although its division label retains the generic wording “Sat-Sun”.[4]

Formats and classification

All four event listings identify an Open ten-player division. Southern California and Florida advertised twelve-minute games; California and St. Louis advertised ten-minute games.[4][5][6][7]

Event	Published classification	Players per side	Advertised game limit
Southern California Classic	Open	10	12 minutes
Florida Open	Open	10	12 minutes
California Classic	Open	10	10 minutes
St. Louis Classic	Open	10	10 minutes

The Florida organiser published a 2024 WCPL rules page. Its ten-player scoring provisions awarded two points per opposing player eliminated, one point per surviving player, twenty points for the first opposing flag pull and fifty points for a successful flag hang. The page cautioned that rules could vary between events.[8]

The same rules page stated that WCPL used its own classification arrangements within APPA/PBLeagues and that participation would not affect a player's ranking at other events using that system.[8]

The documented 2024 event listings do not establish separate professional and amateur championship divisions.[4][5][6][7]

Recorded results

Florida Open

PBLeagues contains scored preliminary, semi-final and final-round records for the Florida Open.[2]

The final-round score sheet records Schlactet Die Gebrmutter defeating MechKats by 47–6. A separate final-round game between Maynards Arsenal and gg_Factory Mech finished 16–16.[2]

Round	Team	Score	Opponent
Final round	Schlactet Die Gebrmutter	47–6	MechKats
Final round	Maynards Arsenal	16–16	gg_Factory Mech

Team names reproduce the spellings used in the score record. The tied game is not assigned an additional placing here without a verified final classification.[2]

Other events

The Southern California, California and St. Louis registration listings document announced dates, venues and formats. Those listings alone do not establish final placings or whether the full advertised programmes were played.[4][6][7]

Season standings and championship

The 2024 PBLeagues season-ranking page displays “No events have yet been completed this season” and provides no points table.[3]

That database message must be distinguished from the presence of scored Florida Open matches. It does not establish that every event was cancelled or that no tournament took place.[2][3]

No season champion is identified in the published standings record.[3]
