2023 Road To World Cup Dye
The 2023 Road To World Cup Dye was a paintball tournament held on 22–23 April 2023 at Sykaryos Paintball in Mexico City, within Liga Mexicana de Paintball's Road To World Cup programme.[1] Sykaryos won Abierta and ARMADA 5 won Novatos in the published final placings.[2]
Event and format
[edit]The venue was listed on the Picacho–Ajusco road at kilometre 11.5, in Tlalpan. The event information used the division names Abierta and Novatos, while the score records also identified them as D3 and D4 respectively.[1][3]
| Division | Published format | Game time |
|---|---|---|
| Abierta | Five-player X-Ball, mercy four | 12 minutes |
| Novatos | Five-player X-Ball, mercy four | 10 minutes |

Final-stage records
[edit]The Abierta final-stage table lists Sykaryos and Hellfish Paintball Team but displays dashes instead of a numerical score for their match.[3] Sykaryos's first place and Hellfish Paintball Team's second place are verified by the published event placings; a winning score has not been recovered.[2]
The semi-finals record Hellfish Paintball Team beating SKS 4–2 and Sykaryos beating ARMADA RED 4–0. ARMADA RED then beat SKS 1–0 in the third-place match.[3]
In Novatos, ARMADA 5 beat Vagos Ronnin 2–1 in the final. Hellfish Paintball Team RED beat SYKARYOS WANNABE 3–1 for third place.[3]
Gaps and discrepancies
[edit]Novatos qualification
[edit]The preliminary table lists RAPTORS third overall and SYKARYOS WANNABE fifth, but the recovered semi-finals include SYKARYOS WANNABE and omit RAPTORS.[3] The records do not explain that difference.
The results table above follows the published final placings, which list SYKARYOS WANNABE fourth and RAPTORS fifth.[2] No disqualification, withdrawal or other explanation is inferred.
Final result and season awards
[edit]The missing Abierta final score does not invalidate the separately published final placings, but it prevents a numerical account of that final.[2][3]
The tournament results do not independently establish season champions or fulfilment of World Cup entry and travel prizes.
