2017 PALM Iran season

From WikiPaintball

The 2017 PALM Iran season comprised four rounds of the Iranian PALM series, all listed in Tehran. The organiser's calendar marked each round as completed, with the final event designated “Leg 4 & Championships”.[1]

Datis entries won both leading divisions at the opening round.[2] Verified overall season placings include second place for Tehran in Division 1 and third place for Sorena in Division 2.[6]

Calendar

[edit]

The organiser published the following scheduled date ranges.[1] Contemporary announcements specified shorter competition dates for rounds two, three and four.[3][4][5]

Season review

Opening round

[edit]

Planet Eclipse's report of 27 May confirmed that Datis Tehran won Division 1 and Datis Shemiranat won Division 2 at the opening round. The report described these as the series' two highest divisions.[2]

Third round and title positions

[edit]

Planet Eclipse's report of 8 October confirmed another Division 1 victory for Datis Tehran at the penultimate round, while Datis Shemiranat finished second in Division 2.[7]

The same report described Datis Tehran as holding a comfortable lead in the Division 1 season standings before the final round. Datis Shemiranat was also described as close to securing the Division 2 title.[7] These were pre-final assessments rather than confirmation of the eventual championships.

Verified overall standings

[edit]

Tehran Paintball's retrospective account, published on 9 March 2019, explicitly distinguished overall PALM league placings from separate national championship results. For the 1396 season, it recorded Tehran as the Division 1 overall runner-up and Sorena as third overall in Division 2.[6] A later Sorena profile also listed third place overall in PALM 2017.[8]

These are verified entries from the overall standings, rather than a complete final classification.
