2018 PALM Iran season

From WikiPaintball

The 2018 PALM Iran season was the third series of PALM Iran, corresponding to Iranian calendar year 1397. Recovered records document four numbered rounds, including events in Tehran in May, July and November 2018.[1][2][3][4]

Tehran won the overall Division 1 championship, while Sorena won Division 2. These titles were recorded in Tehran Paintball's review of the 1397 season.[5]

Opening round

[edit]

The opening round took place on 20–21 Ordibehesht 1397 (10–11 May 2018). The organiser announced the Dokouheh Cultural and Sports Complex, also identified as Dehkadeh-ye Moqavemat, as its venue.[1][6]

Datis Tehran won Division 1, Sorena won Division 2, and the entry listed as Hamed Ashouri finished first in Division 3.[1]

Second round

[edit]

The second round took place on 21–22 Tir 1397 (12–13 July 2018). Datis Shemiranat won Division 1, followed by Tehran and Datis Tehran.[2]

PALM Media also published a recording identifying Spad and Datam as the Division 2 finalists. The recovered description does not establish their finishing order.[7]

Third round

[edit]

A federation-attributed report published by Hamshahri Online in December included a separately headed third-round classification. It listed Tehran, Datis Shemiranat and Persian Gulf as the leading Division 1 teams, and Sorena, Spad and Datam as the Division 2 podium.[4]

Fourth round

[edit]

The fourth round took place on 1–2 Azar 1397 (22–23 November 2018). Tehran won Division 1 and Spad won Division 2.[3][4]

The federation-attributed report described PALM competition and accompanying national championships as a four-day programme in Tehran. It published separate fourth-round and national championship classifications.[4]

Sources: PALM Media and Hamshahri Online.[1][4] Round 2 is omitted because the recovered recording identifies its finalists without establishing their placings.[7]

Opening-round Division 3

[edit]

PALM Media published the following Division 3 results for the opening round:[1]

Position Entry as published
1st Hamed Ashouri
2nd Datam
3rd Shahab

The source lists Hamed Ashouri by name without supplying a separate team name.[1]

Overall championships

[edit]

Tehran Paintball's season review, published in March 2019, identified Tehran as the overall PALM Division 1 champion for 1397 and Sorena as the overall Division 2 champion.[5]

Division Overall champion
Division 1 Tehran
Division 2 Sorena

A later Sorena profile published by the association's coaching account also recorded the team's 2018 overall PALM title.[8]

The cited accounts establish these championship titles but do not provide a complete verified points table or the remaining overall placings.[5][8]

National championship classifications

[edit]

The organiser's November results post distinguished fourth-round results, national championship classifications and overall series classifications.[9]

The national championship podiums published alongside the PALM results should therefore be treated separately from individual PALM rounds and aggregate season standings.[4][9]

Media coverage

[edit]

PALM Media published opening-round match footage and recordings of the Division 1 finals from rounds two and four. A Division 2 final recording also survives from round two.[1][2][3][7][10]
