2007 Independence Cup

The 2007 Independence Cup was an international paintball tournament held at Xtion Paintball Park in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 25–26 August 2007. It was advertised as the second leg of the 2007 Paintball Asia League Series. Datis won Division 1, Global Pinoy won Division 2 and Zealous won Division 3.[1][2]

Format

The tournament offered three divisions using five-player capture-the-flag matches, with two reserves permitted per team and a five-minute game limit.[1]

The announcement specified PALS rules based on the Millennium Series. Divisions 1 and 2 permitted PSP-mode ramping capped at 15 balls per second, while Division 3 used semi-automatic firing capped at the same rate. Malaysian and European marshals were advertised.[1]

The captains' meeting was scheduled for 24 August, before competition on 25–26 August.[1]
