2001 New Zealand Paintball Nationals

From WikiPaintball

2001 New Zealand Paintball Nationals was a seven-player paintball tournament held at Actions Paintball in Auckland over the Saturday and Sunday of Labour Weekend 2001. Eighteen teams competed. Saints won the First Division and Tag and Training won the Second Division.[1]

Tournament

[edit]

Kyn Jackson organised the tournament. Games used a two-flag format across three fields: Minefield, Symetrical and Sup'Air. The top four teams in each division advanced from preliminary competition to the finals, which were played on the Sup'Air field.[1]

The Australian Jetts supplemented their squad with Black Dragon players after the collapse of Ansett disrupted travel for some Australian team members. Jackson also played for Jetts.[1]

Tag and Training competed as Tag n' Release's amateur team. The two teams entered separately.[1]
