Kiwi Extreme 3 2004 was the documented 2004 season of the New Zealand three-player paintball series Kiwi Extreme 3. Archived discussions from the NZ Paintball Message Boards identify at least three rounds, including an opening-round results discussion, a second round associated with 23 May and a third-round discussion during June.[1][2]
A separate announcement records the cancellation of a Kiwi Extreme 3 event planned for 27 June 2004.[2] The surviving forum indexes do not preserve the complete results, participating teams or venues for the season.
Season chronology
Round 1
Planning for the opening round was documented in discussions titled KX3 - potential location? and Kiwi Extreme 3 - 2k4 round one.[1]
A separate discussion titled KX3 - Rnd 1 (Results) was active by 11 March 2004.[1] This establishes that results were published through the forum, although the surviving index does not reproduce the scores, team names or final standings.
The competition date and venue have not been independently confirmed.
Round 2
The second round was discussed in a thread titled KX3 - rnd 2 - May 23.[1]
The title associates the round with 23 May 2004. However, the index does not establish the venue, participating teams or results, and the original discussion has not yet been recovered.
June round
A discussion titled KX3 - Rnd 3 - June round appeared in the forum index archived on 12 June 2004.[1]
By the later capture of 28 October, the discussion had received 19 replies and 291 views, with its final visible activity recorded on 21 June 2004.[2] These figures demonstrate substantial contemporary discussion but do not establish the tournament results.
Cancelled 27 June event
A separate announcement titled Extreme 3 - June 27th CANCELLED - PLEASE READ was active on 25 June 2004.[2]
The announcement establishes that a planned Kiwi Extreme 3 event associated with 27 June was cancelled. The surviving index does not identify the reason for the cancellation or clearly establish whether the cancelled event was the third round, a rescheduled round or another event in the series.
It should therefore remain separate from the documented third-round discussion unless the original announcement or schedule is recovered.
Documented schedule

Organisation and reporting
The surviving Kiwi Extreme 3 discussions were started by the forum account Dannefaerd.[1][2] The archived forum configuration also listed Dannefaerd as an administrator of the NZ Paintball Message Boards.
The records demonstrate involvement in publishing information about the competition. They do not establish a formal organiser title or identify the complete organising group.
The forum was associated with Paintball.co.nz, an early New Zealand paintball information website that published tournament material and hosted community discussions.
Historical records
The surviving evidence for the season consists principally of archived forum indexes rather than complete tournament reports.
The indexes preserve:
- Discussion titles
- Forum usernames
- Reply and view totals
- Dates of forum activity
- Evidence that a first-round results discussion existed
- Evidence that the planned 27 June event was cancelled
They do not preserve complete team entries, scores, playing-field information or championship standings. Forum activity dates should not be treated as event dates unless the discussion title or content explicitly identifies the competition date.
