Shattered (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Shattered is an Auckland, New Zealand, competitive paintball team documented in tournament records from March 2013 to June 2015.[1][4] The team won the Plate at 2013 NZPPL Super 5 Man Event 2 and later competed in Open X-Ball, with Asylum Paintball listed as its home field.[3][4]
Tournament history
[edit]Shattered's first documented appearance was at 2013 NZPPL Super 5 Man Event 1, held at Waikanae on 9–10 March 2013. It finished second to Low Gear in the seven-team Plate classification.[1][2] At Event 2 in Paraparaumu on 1–2 June, Shattered won the Plate ahead of Low Gear.[1][3] A contributor familiar with the team confirms that these 2013 entries belong to the same Auckland team documented in the later PBLeagues records.
PBLeagues lists Shattered as an Auckland team associated with Asylum Paintball and registered in its database on 15 January 2014.[4] This is a database registration date rather than a confirmed founding date.
Shattered contested all four rounds of the 2014 South Auckland Paintball Club Race Series in Open X-Ball. It placed fourth at Events 1, 3 and 4 and fifth at Event 2.[5][6][7][8] The team finished fifth in the season standings with 173.5 points.[9]
In 2015, Shattered placed fifth at the opening SAPC round, fifth at the 2015 Auckland Paintball Cup, sixth at SAPC Event 2 and fifth at SAPC Event 3.[10][11][12][13] Its three SAPC results placed it sixth in the 2015 Open X-Ball season standings with 83.57 points.[14]
