Scarlett (New Zealand Paintball Team)

From WikiPaintball

Scarlett was a New Zealand competitive paintball team associated with Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty Paintball Club. The team is documented in national competition during 2011 and 2012.[1][2][3]

History

[edit]

2011

[edit]

Scarlett competed at the 2011 NZPPL Rotorua Tournament, held at Lakes Ranch on 4–5 June. The team scored five points in the first-day competition and finished eleventh in the published standings.[1]

Scarlett subsequently competed in the Plate classification. A participant-reported final table placed the team fifth in the Plate, behind Phoenix, TPC Blast, Skullz and ADHD.[1]

The recovered result was initially posted from memory. Other participants corrected the order of the Plate's third- and fourth-placed teams, but no correction was made to Scarlett's fifth-place result.[1]

Scarlett was later included in a list described by its poster as the final team count for the 2011 NZPPL Nationals. The surviving discussion confirms that the Nationals took place but does not provide Scarlett's result. The listing is therefore retained as an attendance or registration record rather than a documented tournament placing.[2]

2012

[edit]

Scarlett competed at the NZPPL Super 5 Man Auckland Event 1, held at Lock N Load Paintball on 7–8 April 2012. A participant posting after the tournament qualified the results with “If I am not mistaken” and placed Scarlett tenth of 16 teams.[3]

No official result sheet or subsequent correction has been recovered, so the tenth-place result remains attributed to that participant account rather than presented as an independently verified official classification.

Club association

[edit]

An archived sponsorship page published by 300FPS in February 2013 identified Scarlett as a Bay of Plenty Paintball Club team. It listed Scarlett alongside TPC Blast and Tempest as teams receiving discounted equipment and paint.[4]

A separate 2011 series interest list described Scarlett as a Tauranga team, supporting the Bay of Plenty association. That list recorded interest rather than confirmed participation in the advertised series.[5]

No complete player roster has been recovered.
