North Shore Paintball

North Shore Paintball was a paintball venue on Haruru Road in Wainui, Auckland, New Zealand. It offered recreational bush fields and an inflatable tournament field, and hosted the 2010 Greater Auckland Open. Its website linked to SCK Paintball as its online store.[1][2][3][4]

History

North Shore Paintball Limited was incorporated on 16 October 2008 under company number 2182318. Jonathan Richard Clark was appointed director on that date, and the Companies Register records him as the sole shareholder, holding all 100 shares.[5][6][7]

The venue's archived website advertised recreational paintball for private groups, corporate activities and parties, with bookings available seven days a week. Its directions placed the field on Haruru Road, opposite 694 Haruru Road, in Wainui.[1][2]

The company was removed from the Companies Register on 20 November 2012.[5] This does not establish the date on which the playing field ceased operating.

Fields and facilities

The facilities page preserved in March 2011 described two bush fields and a separate tournament field:[3]

• Outskirts, covering just under 2.5 acres, included bases, trenches, huts, barricades and bunkers.
• Deep Jungle, covering approximately two acres, occupied a basin with elevated positions, ferns, two bases and intervening barricades.
• The tournament field used a 45-piece inflatable bunker layout.

The venue also advertised barbecue facilities for customers.[3]

Tournament use

North Shore Paintball hosted the 2010 Greater Auckland Open on 20–21 November 2010. Eight teams competed in a race-to-three format. The event announcement named North Shore Paintball as the venue, and a report published on 22 November confirmed that the tournament had taken place.[4][8]

Connection with SCK Paintball

The North Shore Paintball homepage preserved in December 2010 linked directly to sckpaintball.com under “Online Store”. Its footer also credited SCK Paintball.[1]
