Grumpies (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Grumpies was a New Zealand tournament paintball team from Rotorua. It is documented at the 2004 Rotorua paintball tournament, where a contemporary report described it as a new team sponsored by Grumpy Mole.[1]
History
[edit]Grumpies competed at the Rotorua tournament held at Rotorua International Stadium during Labour Weekend in October 2004. The event attracted 23 teams and used two airball fields. Teams initially competed in pool play before progressing into separate Cup and Plate competitions.[1]
Rob Maddox's contemporary report described Grumpies as a new Rotorua team and identified Grumpy Mole as its sponsor.[1] This establishes how the team was presented at the event but does not provide an exact formation date or establish how long it existed before or after the tournament.
The surviving report does not provide a complete Grumpies roster, preliminary score, Cup or Plate classification, or final placing. No result is assigned beyond confirmed participation.
