History
[edit]2009 Singapore Paintball Novice Series
[edit]Dark Militia made its Singapore Paintball Novice Series debut in the opening leg of the 2009 season, finishing third behind Red West and Contract Killers. A contemporary report described the team as having formed less than three weeks before the event and undertaken fewer than four official training sessions. Grant, known as “Houdini”, coached the team while playing for Wargh! Nuts in that leg. [4]
An April 2009 preview identified Houdini as Dark Militia's player-coach for the second leg and named Abdullah as a player on the snake side of the field. Dark Militia finished fourth at the event. [5][6]
The team won the third leg at West Coast Park. The tournament report credited Grant with the decisive elimination that secured the victory. [1]
Malaysian tournaments
[edit]Dark Militia competed in Division 4 at the second leg of the 2010 Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit. An April report described this as the team's first overseas tournament. [7]
At the 2010 Kedah Sultan Cup, Dark Militia reached the quarter-finals and finished seventh in the Novice Division. [2]
The team also competed in Division 4 at the fourth leg of the 2010 Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit, qualifying for the second day's play. [8]
Noob Wars
[edit]Dark Militia defeated Ballistics in the final of the 2010 Noob Wars tournament at Red Dynasty Paintball Park. The event report distinguished the team's new recruits from its senior players who had competed in Malaysia. [3]
