Breakout (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Breakout was a New Zealand tournament paintball team documented at the 2004 Wellington X-Cess tournament. The team finished third in the tournament's Cup competition.[2]
Tournament history
[edit]A seeded draw published before the 2004 Wellington X-Cess placed Breakout in Pool C with Phoenix, HSR, Raiderz and .68.[1] The draw records the team's intended preliminary grouping, while Breakout's later placement confirms that it participated in the tournament.
The X-Cess tournament was held indoors on Wellington's waterfront over Easter 2004. Teams initially competed in seeded pools before being divided between the Cup and Plate competitions.[2]
Breakout advanced to the Cup competition and finished third, behind the United States team Evil Factory and the New Zealand team Saints. Evil Factory defeated Saints in the best-of-three Cup final.[2]
No complete Breakout roster, captain or home field has been identified in the inspected contemporary records. Overseas teams using the name Breakout are not treated as the same team.
