History

[edit]

1996 Victorian Three-Man Series

[edit]

Apparition won the 1996 Victorian Three-Man Series with 1,095 points.[1]

At the opening round at Splatball Village in Carrum Downs, Apparition reached the championship game but lost to Challenge Raiders. The team won the second round at Paintball Frankston, defeating The Scuds in the final.[1]

Three rounds were completed before the planned fourth tournament was cancelled. Apparition finished ahead of Red Lizards and Combat Wombats in the overall standings. A separate entry named Apparition 2 recorded 160 series points.[1]

1998 competition and refereeing

[edit]

Apparition was identified as Paintball Action Games' home team in the contemporary report of the 1998 Victorian Five-Man Masters. The report stated that the team included former Blackwood Hunters members, some with more than ten years of paintball experience.[2]

Apparition supplied the core refereeing staff for the tournament.[2]

A later account of Troy Charlesworth's playing career, published by Valhalla Paintball, records that he joined Apparition in 1998 after playing for Bad Company. The account credits Apparition with winning the amateur division that year.[3]
