2011 SPS Friendship Cup

The 2011 SPS Friendship Cup was a planned paintball tournament scheduled for 31 December 2011 at Red Dynasty Paintball Park in Singapore. Announced by the Singapore Paintball Series as an informal end-of-season event, it was cancelled because of insufficient entries.[1][2]

Planned format

The tournament was intended to bring players together outside the main competitive season. Players could enter with their existing teams or form different line-ups, including combinations of experienced players and new recruits.[1]

The announced format was Race-to-2, with team rosters of up to eight players and a maximum of eight participating teams. The organisers planned to supply ETEK3 AM and/or Proto PMR electronic markers. No registration or player identification fees were advertised, although paintballs were to be purchased separately. No prizes were offered.[1]

Cancellation

In a review published on 25 December 2011, the organiser confirmed that the Friendship Cup had been cancelled because of poor response.[2]
