2006 PSP SoCal Open
The 2006 PSP SoCal Open was the fourth tournament of the 2006 Paintball Sports Promotions season, held from 10–13 August at the BLAST Soccer Complex in San Bernardino, California. It featured professional NXL competition, divisional X-Ball and five-man X-Ball.[1][2]
Professional competition
[edit]Boston Red Legion defeated X-Factor 13–3 in the latter's NXL debut.[1]
In the semi-finals, Dynasty defeated Miami Raiders 13–4, while Boston beat San Diego Legacy 9–5. Boston then defeated Dynasty 10–5 in the championship final.[1]
Beginning with this event, the NXL discontinued its third-place match. The losing semi-finalists were ranked by their performance through the tournament and received equal prize payments. Legacy placed third and Miami fourth.[1]
