2021 NXL Australia

2021 NXL Australia was the 2021 season of NXL Australia, an Australian tournament paintball league. Its advertised programme comprised four rounds each in Victoria, Western Australia and a combined ACT/NSW competition, followed by national finals.[1]

Verified results include Lumberjacks winning Division 2 at the first two Victorian rounds, South East Cartel winning Division 1 at Victoria Round 2, and STK Australia reporting victory in the final Perth round and the Western Australian series. The surviving records do not establish completion of the entire advertised programme.[3][4][5][6]

Advertised programme

The league's calendar advertised five-man competition at Paintball Games Coldstream in Victoria, WASP Paintball in Western Australia and Paintball Sports ACT for ACT/NSW. The national finals venue was listed as to be announced.[1]

The calendar offered Division 1 and Division 2 in Western Australia, Division 2 in ACT/NSW, and varying combinations of divisions in Victoria. Division 3 was advertised for the first two Victorian rounds, but its completion has not been verified.[1]

The following table distinguishes advertised arrangements from confirmed competition. A confirmed event does not necessarily establish completion of every advertised division.

Victoria Round 1	14 March 2021	Paintball Games Coldstream	Division 2 competition and a Lumberjacks win documented. Other divisional results unverified.[2][3]

Advertised dates and venues are taken from the league's calendar archived on 24 July 2021 unless otherwise indicated. The calendar is evidence of scheduling rather than proof that every event occurred.[1]

Further divisional placings and complete match scores have not been verified.

Western Australia

STK Australia reported winning at WASP Paintball on 28 March 2021, matching the advertised date and venue of WA Round 1. The report did not explicitly name the competition or round.[1][7]

On 25 October, STK reported winning the final Perth NXL round on the preceding Sunday and securing the 2021 series. This corresponds to the advertised WA Round 4 date of 24 October.[1][6]

No complete Western Australian divisional standings or points table have been established. STK's reported Perth series title should not be described as a national championship.

COVID-19 impact

Contemporary participant reporting documents the effect of renewed lockdowns on Victorian paintball. In a post published on 17 June, Jackson Chandler described returning for Victoria Round 2 before Melbourne went back into lockdown.[10]

Competition continued in Western Australia later in the year. An Eskimo Brothers podcast description published on 19 August discussed NXL play in WA, and STK's October report confirms that the Perth series reached a final round.[6][9]

These sources demonstrate that activity differed between regions. They do not establish a league-wide cancellation or prove the administrative outcome of every advertised round. No explicit cancellation or replacement date has been verified for the events marked unconfirmed above.

Results records

PBLeagues' surviving NXL Australia directory lists only three Victorian events for 2021, whereas the archived official calendar advertises a wider interstate programme.[1][11]

The database is incomplete as a record of competition. Its Victoria Round 2 score page states “No Games Completed”, although contemporary venue and team reports confirm both divisional winners.[4][5][12]

Registrations must therefore be distinguished from attendance, and entry lists must not be treated as final standings. No verified national finals result or overall Australian championship table has been established.
