2014 PSP season
The 2014 PSP season was the national tournament season organised by Paintball Sports Promotions in the United States. Five events were held, beginning with the Dallas Open in March and concluding with the World Cup in October. Professional competition retained the Champions and Challengers divisions introduced in 2013.[1][2][3]
Edmonton Impact won the professional season championship. Art Chaos won the professional Champions competition at World Cup, while Los Angeles Infamous won the World Cup Challengers competition.[4][5]

Competition structure
[edit]Professional Champions and Challengers played RaceTo-7. Divisions 1 and 2 used RaceTo-5, while Divisions 3 and 4 used RaceTo-4. Separate five-player RaceTo-2 competitions were held for Divisions 3 and 4, alongside open pump competition.[2][3][6][7]
Promotion and relegation operated between the professional divisions. At the Mid-Atlantic Open, Houston Heat and Moscow Red Legion reached the Challengers final and earned promotion to Champions. Los Angeles Infamous and Art Chaos were relegated after losing their relegation matches.[9]
Art Chaos subsequently won Challengers at Chicago before winning Champions at the West Coast Open and World Cup.[5][6][7]
World Cup also included Division 2 and Division 5 RaceTo-2 and open ten-player competition.[8]

Selected finals
[edit]Dynasty defeated Impact 3–2 in the Mid-Atlantic final, completing the tournament undefeated.[9]
Art Chaos defeated Impact 7–4 at the West Coast Open. At World Cup, Art Chaos beat Tampa Bay Damage 7–0 in the Champions final. Infamous defeated Dynasty in the Challengers final after regulation and overtime failed to produce a winner, with the match decided through one-on-one play.[5][10]
Season championship
[edit]Edmonton Impact won the professional season championship, a separate achievement from Art Chaos's World Cup victory.[4]
The surviving PBLeagues professional season table displays an order inconsistent with the contemporary championship report. The identification of Impact as season champions therefore follows contemporary reporting; no professional season points table is reproduced here.[4][11]
