The 1995 NPPL season was the third season of the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL), a United States paintball tournament circuit. Its five-event programme comprised the Dallas Open, San Diego Open, Pittsburgh Open, Chicago Open and World Cup.[1]

The Ironmen won their third consecutive professional 10-player season championship, while the All Americans won the professional five-player series. Bad Company and Rage recorded professional 10-player tournament victories during the season.[2]

Programme and competition

[edit]

The advertised programme allocated Wednesday and Thursday to five-player competition, followed by 10-player competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Professional and amateur competitions were offered.[1]

All five events were advertised as allowing competitors to bring their own paintballs. Published team entry fees were US$500 for five-player competition, US$1,500 for amateur 10-player and US$2,000 for professional 10-player.[1]

The league specified a minimum of four referees on each five-player field and six on each 10-player field.[1]

[edit]

The following dates and venues were published in the contemporary NPPL season advertisement and tournament listings.[1]

Paintball World was a woodland paintball field behind the Old Town entertainment complex. The World Cup had relocated there from New York in 1994.[3]

Professional event winners

The following victories are documented in historical reporting and the ClassicScores results archive. No professional five-player winner is assigned to Pittsburgh here because the cited sources do not establish that result.[2][4][5]

Bad Company's victory ended the sequence in which Aftershock, the Ironmen and the All Americans had won every NPPL professional 10-player tournament since the league began.[2]

The final-round group comprised Bad Company, the Ironmen, the Florida Terminators and Avalanche. Bad Company defeated the Ironmen in its final game to secure first place.[2]
