2015 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open

The 2015 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open was a cancelled Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) tournament scheduled for 18–21 June 2015 at Outdoor Xtreme Chesapeake City (OXCC) in Chesapeake City, Maryland, United States. It was announced as the third event of the 2015 PSP national season, but did not take place following the suspension of the series.[1][2]

Scheduled dates and venue

PSP's published calendar listed the tournament for 18–21 June 2015 at OXCC, 2941 Old Telegraph Road, Chesapeake City, Maryland. The calendar placed it after the 2015 PSP Nashville Open and before the 2015 PSP Chicago Open.[1]

The schedule moved the Mid-Atlantic Open into the June slot previously occupied by Chicago. Contemporary coverage in January 2015 confirmed that OXCC would host the planned mid-season tournament, while Chicago was moved to August.[3]

Cancellation

On 1 May 2015, Paintball Media reported that PSP had apparently suspended its season. The report also announced a separate three-event calendar for the revived National Xball League. The planned June PSP tournament consequently did not take place.[2]

The NXL's separately announced Mid-Atlantic Open was scheduled for 7–9 August 2015. It was a different event from the cancelled PSP tournament planned for June at OXCC.[2]
