2010 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open
The 2010 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open was the third tournament of the 2010 Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) season, held from 13 to 15 August 2010 at Paintball Central in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Boston Red Legion won the professional RaceTo-7 division, defeating Edmonton Impact 7–2 in the final.[1][2]
Venue and competition
[edit]The tournament returned to Paintball Central, which had hosted the Mid-Atlantic Open since 2006. Competition used the venue's grass tournament fields. PSP offered free admission to the professional grandstands, alongside free parking and trade-show access.[1]
The programme comprised professional RaceTo-7, Division 1 and Division 2 RaceTo-5, Division 3 and Division 4 RaceTo-4, and separate Division 3 and Division 4 five-player RaceTo-2 competitions.[1][2]
Professional competition
[edit]Boston Red Legion completed the tournament undefeated. In the semi-finals, Boston defeated San Diego Aftermath 7–4, while Edmonton Impact defeated Los Angeles Ironmen 7–6.[1]
Boston won the final 7–2. Aftermath defeated the Ironmen by the same score to finish third.[1]
