2010 NPPL D.C. Challenge
The 2010 NPPL D.C. Challenge was a National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) tournament held from 6 to 8 August 2010 at Pev's Paintball Park in Aldie, Virginia. It was the third tournament of the 2010 NPPL season. Tampa Bay Damage won the professional division, and the event included an East–West professional All-Star competition.[1]
Professional competition
[edit]Tampa Bay Damage defeated San Diego Dynasty in the semi-finals after losing the opening game and winning the next two. Damage subsequently defeated Los Angeles Infamous in the final.[2]
The victory followed Damage's win at the 2010 NPPL Chicago Open. After the D.C. Challenge, Infamous led the professional season standings with 51 points, followed by Damage on 50. Edmonton Impact and Dynasty each had 49 points.[3]

All-Star competition
[edit]The Empire Paintball-sponsored All-Star competition matched professional players representing the East and West. The West won three consecutive games to take the best-of-five contest 3–0.[1][2]
The exhibition took place between professional sessions on Saturday. Frank Connell replaced the unavailable Josh Davey as East captain. Contemporary eyewitness reporting described a seven-player format with multiple points, a running match time during play and three-minute intervals between points.[2]
