The league provides opportunities for players to compete in organised tournaments without travelling to Peninsular Malaysia.
KPM has participated in organising and hosting league events.
2022 season
[edit]The Sarawak Paintball League included events in several locations during 2022.
In November, KPM hosted the third leg of the series in Miri, Sarawak.
According to the Daily Express, the event took place on 26–27 November and featured three-player and five-player competition.[5]
Teams from Sabah, including Splatzone Pengayau and Splatzone Rangers, participated.
The event demonstrated KPM's involvement in organising regional tournaments beyond its home facility.
Kelab Paintball Mambong venue
[edit]Location
[edit]KPM operates a paintball venue in the Mambong area of Padawan, near Kuching.
The facility is located along Jalan Kampung Mambong–Sikog–Sarig in Sarawak.[6]
The venue has hosted recreational games, corporate activities and organised paintball competitions.
It also provides a location for paintball players and clubs in the Kuching region.
2022 Mini Paintball Tournament
[edit]In February 2022, the KPM venue hosted a regional mini paintball tournament involving teams from across Sarawak.
The event attracted approximately 80 players.
Utusan Borneo reported that the competition represented a return to organised play following disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
Kelab Paintball Kidurong (KPK), from Bintulu, won the tournament.
The report identified Morshidi Abdullah as the owner of Kelab Paintball Mambong and acknowledged his role in making the playing field available.
It also described KPM and KPK as licensed paintball clubs in Sarawak.
Recreational and institutional activities
[edit]The KPM facility has also hosted paintball activities for Malaysian organisations and public institutions.
On 1 October 2022, staff from the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) participated in a paintball tournament at the venue.
The activity was documented in the organisation's 2023 newsletter.[7]
On 25 January 2025, the Royal Malaysian Air Force organised a paintball competition at Kelab Paintball Mambong.
The event involved 80 officers from the Kuching Air Base officers' mess, divided into 16 teams.
According to the Royal Malaysian Air Force, the competition took place without reported injuries.[8]
On 7 February 2026, Sarawak's Natural Resources and Environment Board organised the KERENA Paintball Challenge at the venue.
The activity was intended to encourage teamwork, physical activity and participation among employees.[9]
These events illustrate the club's role in recreational and institutional paintball as well as competitive tournaments.
Relationship with Raskal Sports
[edit]Tournament partnership
[edit]Kelab Paintball Mambong has maintained a tournament organisation relationship with Raskal Sports, a Malaysian paintball equipment distributor and event organiser.
The two organisations jointly organised the 2019 Kuching Paintball Open.

The competition is hosted in cooperation with the Penang Island City Council and Raskal Sports.
A contemporary Planet Eclipse report identified KPM as one of the organising partners for the 2024 championship, held on 22–23 June at Padang Polo.[2]
The event attracted international teams and used three tournament fields.
The partnership demonstrated KPM's involvement in organising paintball events outside Sarawak.
MBPJ IMPACT
[edit]KPM has also been identified as an organising partner of MBPJ IMPACT, a tournament programme associated with Petaling Jaya.
The August 2026 edition of Paintball Media Magazine identified Raskal Sports and KPM as joint organisers of the October 2026 event.[10]
The competition forms part of their wider involvement in Malaysian tournament paintball.
Competitive teams
[edit]KPM Raskal
[edit]The club has also been associated with a tournament team competing under the name KPM Raskal.
At the 2024 MBPP Mayor's Cup, KPM president Morshidi Abdullah competed in the Open Division with KPM Raskal.
Planet Eclipse identified him as the oldest competitor at the event, aged 62.[2]
The KPM Raskal name indicates a competitive association involving the club and the Raskal identity.
However, the precise roster, management arrangements and relationship with the original Raskal Malaysia tournament team have not been fully established.
Mambong Star
[edit]A team named Mambong Star won the Rookie Division at the 2019 Kuching Paintball Open.
The result was documented in Planet Eclipse's tournament report.[4]
Although the name suggests an association with the Mambong paintball community, the team's exact organisational relationship with KPM requires further verification.
Leadership

[edit]Morshidi Abdullah has been identified as the owner and president of Kelab Paintball Mambong.
A 2019 Planet Eclipse report named him as the club's president during the Kuching Paintball Open.

He was also documented competing in the Open Division at the 2024 MBPP Mayor's Cup, aged 62.
His involvement spans club administration, playing-facility operations, tournament organisation and competitive participation.
The precise date on which he established or assumed leadership of the club has not yet been confirmed.

The 2019 Kuching Paintball Open attracted teams from across Malaysia and several neighbouring countries, providing an international competition in East Malaysia.
The club's involvement in the Sarawak Paintball League has supported regional competition between teams from Sarawak and Sabah.
Its facility has also provided opportunities for recreational players, corporate groups and public institutions to participate in paintball.
