History

[edit]

Frankston Five-Man Tournament

[edit]

Red Lizards competed at the Frankston Five-Man Tournament at Splatball Village in Frankston, Victoria. The competition required players to use rental SL-II pump markers with an 80-paintball limit.[2]

The team qualified for the four-team finals, advancing ahead of Terminal Velocity by 25 points. It won one of its three finals-round games and finished third, behind Blackwood Hunters and Challenge Raiders.[2]

The report was published in January 1996 but does not establish the tournament's date.[2]

1995 Southern Three-Man Open

[edit]

Red Lizards competed in the Southern Three-Man Open at Challenge Paintball's Narbethong field in 1995. The published final standings identified the team with the Victorian Paintball Players Association.[3]

Five teams entered, each playing eight preliminary games. Red Lizards led the preliminary standings with 415 points, ahead of Combat Wombats on 365. The two teams advanced to a best-of-three final, which Combat Wombats won.[3]

1996 Victorian Three-Man Series

[edit]

Red Lizards finished second in the 1996 Victorian Three-Man Series with 960 points, behind Apparition.[1]

At the third round, held at Paintball Action Games in Ballan, the team reached the final and finished runner-up to Rat Pak Bad. The series concluded after three completed rounds when the planned fourth tournament was cancelled.[1]
