Legion (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Legion was a New Zealand tournament paintball team documented competing in the 2007 Super 5s championship in Auckland.
The team was one of the leading competitors in the series' Division 1 competition, winning four of the first six rounds and finishing second in the other two. Legion led the published championship standings after Round 6 with 4,895 points.[1]
History
2007 Super 5s
Legion competed in Division 1 of the 2007 Super 5s, a series of five-player paintball tournaments held in the Auckland region.
The team's first documented appearance in the recovered results was at Round 1 on 25 February 2007, which it won with 913 tournament points.[1]
Legion finished second in both Round 2 on 25 March and Round 3 on 22 April. These events were held at A Paintball Adventure, 80B Hunua Road, Papakura.[1]
The team returned to first place at Round 4 on 24 June, scoring 923 points, its highest recorded single-round total in the recovered standings.
Legion also won Round 5 on 22 July and Round 6 on 26 August, recording four first-place finishes from six events.[1]
Championship standings
Following Round 6, Legion led the Division 1 championship standings with 4,895 points, ahead of second-placed Menace on 4,246 points.[1]
Legion had finished in the top two at every round contested up to that point.
A seventh round was scheduled for 23 September 2007, but its results have not been recovered. Consequently, Legion's final championship placing has not been established.
