Addicted (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Addicted was a New Zealand competitive paintball team registered in Wellington. The team competed in the South Auckland Paintball Club (SAPC) Open X-Ball Race Series during 2015, finishing second overall behind Auckland Faction.[1][2]
Addicted finished second at three of the four events during the season, earning 293.93 ranking points.[2]
History
2015 SAPC Race Series
Addicted competed in all four rounds of the 2015 SAPC Open X-Ball Race Series, held at Asylum Paintball in Kingseat, Auckland.
At the opening tournament on 31 January–1 February, Addicted finished fourth among eight teams. The event was won by ADHD, followed by Auckland Faction and Wolves.[2][3]
At Event 2 on 11–12 April, Addicted finished second behind Auckland Faction. The team's preliminary results included a 4–0 victory over ADHD and a 3–3 draw against Auckland Faction. Faction subsequently won their final 2–1.[4]
Addicted again finished second at Event 3 on 13–14 June, losing the final 4–0 to Auckland Faction.[5]
At the concluding round on 1–2 August, Addicted recorded a 2–1 preliminary victory over Auckland Faction but lost the final 4–2 to the same opponent.[6]

Addicted finished second in the 2015 SAPC Open X-Ball championship.
Auckland Faction won the series with 387.14 ranking points, while ADHD finished third with 242.5.[2]
Earlier team of the same name
A Wellington paintball team named Addicted won the 2005 Nelson Three-Man Tournament, held at the Nelson A&P Showgrounds in July 2005.
A contemporary results report published on the NZ Paintball Message Boards identified Addicted as the winner, ahead of Fallen Red and Bleeding Welts, both from Christchurch.[7]
The 2005 team and the Addicted entry recorded in the 2015 SAPC competition were both associated with Wellington.
However, the recovered sources do not establish whether they shared players, management or organisational continuity. The 2005 tournament victory is therefore not included in the 2015 team's competitive record.
Team records
The 2015 Addicted team's PBLeagues registration is dated 3 January 2015 and identifies Wellington as its hometown.[1]
The registration date does not establish when the team was originally formed.
The recovered PBLeagues profile lists four tournament appearances, corresponding to the 2015 SAPC Open X-Ball Race Series.
Individual event roster records survive in the PBLeagues database, although the historical player lists were not publicly accessible during this research.[8]
The team's complete playing roster and subsequent competitive history have not been established.
