Anthony Vitale

Anthony Vitale is an American paintball businessman, coach and former professional player. He founded Boston Paintball and the Paintball Combine, and has been involved in BKi Paintball, Team USA Paintball and the Heroines women's professional team.[1]

Playing career

Vitale began playing paintball in 1986. He entered professional competition with New England Express in 1992 and also played for Enemy.[1]

Boston Paintball

Vitale founded Boston Paintball in 1992. The Massachusetts business developed playing fields, retail operations and custom paintball markers.[1][2]

He was involved in the development of the original Twister Autococker. According to Committed Paintball's Anthony "T2" D'Ambrosio, Vitale approved the design developed with LAPCO during late 1996 and early 1997. The Twister evolved from Boston Paintball's Express Autocockers and featured distinctive curved milling around the marker body.[3]

Boston Paintball launched Committed Paintball as a new division in March 2013, continuing its retail and custom-marker activities.[3]

Player development

Vitale founded the Paintball Combine, an event intended to connect tournament players with competitive teams. In a statement published on Ryan Greenspan's website, Vitale described the Boston Paintball Combine as an annual opportunity to help players find team places.[1][4]

He became involved with BKi Paintball in 2017. His work across the Combine and BKi linked player development with coaching and opportunities in organised competition.[1]

Team USA

Vitale became involved with Team USA Paintball in 2019.[1]

The programme's official 2025 records list him among the coaches of the United States women's team, alongside Daniel Lee and Andrea Martinez. The team won gold that year.[5]

Women's professional paintball

Vitale helped establish the Heroines, who became the first Women's National Xball League (WNXL) World Cup champions in 2022.[1]

A January 2023 report on the WNXL's expansion identified him as both a league board member and co-owner of the Boston-based Heroines.[6]
