Johor Paintball League

Johor Paintball League (JPL) was a Malaysian tournament paintball series documented in Johor, Malaysia, during 2008. Contemporary records identify at least a first leg and a season-ending tournament, although the league's organiser, complete calendar and full divisional standings have not been located.[1][2]

2008 season

A retrospective published by Johor-based team No Mercy records that the team won the Novice division at the first leg of the 2008 league.[1] The source does not provide the date, venue or remaining results from that tournament.

The final leg, styled the Johor Paintball League 2008 Grand Finale or JPL08 GF, was held at Octville Golf & Country Club in Bandar Seri Alam, Pasir Gudang, on 13 and 14 December 2008.[2] The venue was described in a contemporary participant report as the home of Armour Paintball.[2]

Twenty teams from Malaysia and Singapore reportedly competed across three categories.[2] The Open category comprised Raskal, Nemesis, No Mercy and Demonz Red. Nemesis and No Mercy led the preliminary standings before the semi-finals.[2]

Results

Only partial results have been recovered. Raskal defeated Nemesis in a one-on-one decider following the Open final.[2] No Mercy's own team record identifies the team as the second runner-up, confirming its third-place finish.[1]

Tournament	Division	Position	Team	Source
First leg	Novice	1st	No Mercy	[1]
Grand Finale	Open	1st	Raskal	[2]
		2nd	Nemesis	[2]

The participant report identifies D'Mercy Kidz and Todak Lockdown as the Novice finalists at the Grand Finale, but does not state the eventual winner.[2] No complete results have been located for the third category.
