2004 Nation Cup
The 2004 Nation Cup was an international paintball tournament held in December 2004 at Xtion Paintball Park in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was organised by Galactec and Xtion Paintball.[1][2][3]
Organisation
Malaysian paintball organiser Roslim Abu identified Nation Cup as Malaysia's first international paintball tournament in his September 2009 historical account.[1]
Xtion Paintball's retrospective described the tournament as a pilot project involving invited teams from the Asia-Pacific region. It preceded the larger Asia Pacific Paintball Championship, held in 2005.[2]
Development of Malaysian tournament paintball
According to an organiser's historical account published by Allan Phang, the Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit was launched during Nation Cup, and plans for the 2005 Asia Pacific Paintball Championship were announced at the event.[4]
Nation Cup formed part of the sequence of Malaysian international tournaments that preceded the Paintball Asia League Series and Paintball World Cup Asia.[4]
