Raiderz (New Zealand Paintball Team)
Raiderz was a New Zealand tournament paintball team active during the 2000s. Captained by Simon Galt, the team competed in major domestic tournaments, with documented appearances in Wellington, Auckland and Rotorua during the 2004 season.[4]
Raiderz finished third in the Cup division at the 2004 Superball tournament in Kumeu and fourth in the Cup division at the Volcanic Rotorua tournament later that year.[2][3]
History
Raiderz competed in New Zealand's tournament paintball circuit during the early 2000s under the captaincy of Simon Galt.[4]
The team's earliest currently identified competition records date from 2004, when it participated in several major tournaments around the North Island.
2004 season
Wellington X-Cess
Raiderz competed at the Wellington X-Cess tournament held from 9 to 11 April 2004 in Wellington.
The team performed strongly during the opening stages but did not qualify for the Cup division finals.[1]
Its final overall placing has not been established.
Superball
On 5–6 June 2004, Raiderz competed at the Superball tournament held at the Kumeu Showgrounds, northwest of Auckland.
Raiderz finished third in the Cup division, representing one of the team's documented podium results.[2]
Volcanic Rotorua
Raiderz competed at the Volcanic Rotorua tournament held on 23–24 October 2004 in Rotorua.
Raiderz reached the Cup division finals and finished fourth.[3]
This is the latest confirmed tournament result currently identified for the team.
