Disposal Unit, also known as DU, was a competitive paintball team from Auckland, New Zealand, with documented tournament activity between 2011 and 2016.[1][2] The team competed in New Zealand and Australia, finishing second at the 2011 Northland Open and winning Division 2 X-Ball at the 2016 Auckland Paintball Cup.[1][5]

History

2011 Northland Open

Disposal Unit reached the final of the 2011 Northland Open Super-Air tournament at Strategy Tag Paintball in Mangapai, Northland. It finished second after losing to fellow Auckland team ADHD. The result was reported by the Northern Advocate in March 2011.[1]

This establishes that Disposal Unit was competing before its PBLeagues database registration, which is dated 1 February 2014.[2]

Australian Super 7s

Disposal Unit appeared in the Professional division of the 2013 Australian Super 7s series. The organiser's historical standings record 14 ranking points at the fourth round, with no points recorded for the first three rounds.[3]

2014 SAPC Race Series

Disposal Unit competed in all four documented 2014 South Auckland Paintball Club (SAPC) Open X-Ball Race Series events. It finished second at the February, May and September events and third at the July event.[4]

The team finished second overall in the season standings with 314.5 ranking points, behind ADHD on 400 points and ahead of Tempest on 229.[4]

2016 Auckland Paintball Cup

Disposal Unit won Division 2 X-Ball at the Auckland Paintball Cup, held on 16–17 April 2016 at Asylum Paintball.[5]

The team defeated Expendables 4–2 in the championship final.[6]
