Jason Newport was identified as leading KC Damage during its 2013 Nationals victory.[3]
The tournament records identify KC Damage by name but do not supply a complete playing roster or establish its founding date.[1][2]

Newport was also involved in organising the New Zealand Paintball Players League and operated Adrenalin Paintball Sports on the Kāpiti Coast.
The Kāpiti Coast locations recorded for the opening two events are tournament venues, rather than evidence of the team's home region.[3][4]

The team's complete playing roster, precise founding date and any organisational relationship with other teams using the Damage name have not been independently established.
KC Damage is treated separately from the Christchurch team [[Damage Inc]]. A shared name does not establish a predecessor relationship, and no verified roster transition between the teams has been established.
