The 2002 Paintball World Cup was an international paintball event held from 19 to 27 October 2002 in Florida, United States. The concluding X-Ball exhibitions took place on 27 October on a field beside the parking area at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex.[4]

The professional and amateur competitions at Disney were single-elimination exhibitions played for trophies, without prizes. Match lengths and winning-score limits were reduced during the day as the programme ran late.[4]

Professional exhibition

[edit]

Strange defeated the Ironmen 4–3 in the semi-final and All Americans 5–1 in the final.[4]

All Americans advanced past Dynasty through an agreed sudden-death point following a disputed scoreboard correction. Aftershock subsequently conceded its semi-final against All Americans to help the programme finish.[4]
