2005 Hamilton 3x Series was a three-player paintball tournament series held in Hamilton, New Zealand. Announced as a three-event competition, it used a limited-paint format intended to reduce the cost of entering tournament paintball. Running with Scissors won the opening round on 10 July and the second round on 11 September 2005.[1][2][3]

Organisation and format

[edit]

The series was announced on 1 June 2005. Each player was permitted one hopper and one additional pod of paintballs, with play on an inflatable-bunker field.[1]

The announced sponsors were Daytona Indoor Raceway, Unit Networks and Global Imports. Adrenilin Promotions was added as a supporter on 7 June. The organisers initially advertised more than NZ$400 in prizes.[1]

Dates for the later rounds changed during planning. Although a June announcement listed the second round for 14 August, the subsequent round-specific announcement scheduled it for 11 September, followed by results published on 12 September.[1][3]
