Solidaire was a New Zealand tournament paintball team based at Urban Combat in Pakuranga, Auckland. Contemporary results record the team competing between 1999 and 2002. Solidaire placed third in the Second Division of the 2000 New Zealand Paintball Nationals and second at the 2000 Auckland Indoor 3-Man Open.[3][4] The spellings Solidare and Soldiaire, used alongside Solidaire in the report of the Auckland indoor tournament, refer to the same team.[4] == History == === 1999 === Solidaire finished sixth at the 1999 Northland Open on 28 February, scoring 323 points.[1] The team was subsequently placed eighth in the retrospectively compiled 1999 Valhalla National Rankings, with a ranking score of 65.[2] === 2000 === At the 2000 Northland Open on 27 February, Solidaire finished eighth of eight teams with 110 points.[5] The team was also among the ten entries documented at the South Pacific Championships at Thunderball Adventure Games in Wellington on 22β23 April; the available report does not establish Solidaire's exact placing.[6] Solidaire competed in the Second Division of the 2000 New Zealand Paintball Nationals at Actions Paintball in Swanson on 21β22 October. It scored 497 points in the preliminary stage and advanced to the divisional final, where it finished third behind Tag n' Release and Phoenix, and ahead of Fusion.[3] On 1 December, Solidaire competed at the 2000 Auckland Indoor 3-Man Open at Urban Combat in Pakuranga. It finished second with 120 points, five points behind Kamo Karzi, after the two teams met in the final game.[4] The 2000 Valhalla National Rankings placed Solidaire equal 16th with a ranking score of 62.5.[2] === 2001β2002 === Solidaire finished ninth at the 2001 Northland Open on 25 February, scoring 220 points.[7] At the 2001 New Zealand Paintball Nationals, the team recorded 640 preliminary points but did not advance to either divisional final.[8] The October 2001 Valhalla seven-player table placed Solidaire 16th with 70.1 ranking points, derived from its recorded Northland Open and Nationals results.[2] At the 2002 Volcanic Rotorua Paintball Tournament, Solidaire advanced to the Plate competition and finished tenth in the Plate standings with four points.[9] On 26 October, the team competed in the 2002 Auckland 5-Man Tournament at Actions Paintball in Swanson, finishing seventh of seven teams with 100 points.[10] == Selected tournament results == {| class="wikitable sortable" !
