== New Zealand participation ==

[[Menace]], identified by the official series website as a New Zealand team, earned 30 professional ranking points at Round 1.[2][3]

== Separate international fixture ==

The organisers separately scheduled an '''Australia versus New Zealand''' fixture for '''15 February 2008''' at the same venue, before the two-day Super 7s tournament.[1]

Contemporary NZ P8NT discussion described the proposed fixture as a ten-player match. The surviving thread contains pre-event arrangements but does not establish its completion or result.[4]
