Editing 2026 YPL Mérida Three-Player Opening Round (section)

== Gaps and discrepancies ==
=== Novice playoff record ===
The Novice preliminary heading describes three teams, but its table lists four. Scorpions Playa is third in that table, while HELLJUMPERS is fourth; the playoff bracket nevertheless places HELLJUMPERS in the semi-final.[3]

That semi-final records BullFrogs D4 with ''A'' and HELLJUMPERS with ''F'', rather than a numerical score. The published placings retain Scorpions Playa third and HELLJUMPERS fourth.[2][3] The recovered records do not explain the playoff selection or coded outcome, so no withdrawal, disqualification or played-match score is inferred.

=== Event title and season context ===
Although the July event title calls it an opening round, the same league calendar lists earlier March and April events, including an April competition described as a final round.[1] The July title is therefore retained as the name of this three-player event, rather than evidence that it was the league's first tournament or sole opening round of 2026.

These event placings do not independently establish final season champions.
