2026 YPL Mérida Three-Player Opening Round
The 2026 YPL Mérida Three-Player Opening Round was a paintball tournament listed as YPL PRIMER ROUND 3 MAN 2026, held on 25–26 July 2026 at Drop Shock Gotcha Mérida in Mérida, Mexico, within Yucatán Paintball League.[1] Black ops won Novice and BullFrogs won Juniors in the published final placings.[2]
Event and format
[edit]The venue address was listed as Calle 39, Chichí Suárez, Mérida, postcode 97306.[1]
| Division | Published format | Game time |
|---|---|---|
| Novice (D4) | Three-player X-Ball, mercy three | 9 minutes |
| Juniors (D6–D5) | Three-player X-Ball, mercy two | 6 minutes |
An Elite three-player division was advertised with ten-minute, mercy-four games, but its information page shows no entries and the published placings contain no Elite results.[1][2]
Results
[edit]The published final placings list four Novice entries and five Juniors entries.[2]
| Position | Novice | Juniors |

| 1 | Black ops | BullFrogs |
| 2 | BullFrogs D4 | HellJumpers D5 |
| 3 | Scorpions Playa | HELLJUMPERS Rising |

Finals
[edit]The playoff records give these final scores:[3]
| Division | Winner | Score | Runner-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Novice | Black ops | 3–1 | BullFrogs D4 |
| Juniors | BullFrogs | 2–0 | HellJumpers D5 |
BullFrogs also beat HELLJUMPERS Rising 2–1 in the Juniors semi-final. Preliminary leader HellJumpers D5 progressed directly to the final.[3]
Gaps and discrepancies
[edit]Novice playoff record
[edit]The Novice preliminary heading describes three teams, but its table lists four. Scorpions Playa is third in that table, while HELLJUMPERS is fourth; the playoff bracket nevertheless places HELLJUMPERS in the semi-final.[3]
That semi-final records BullFrogs D4 with A and HELLJUMPERS with F, rather than a numerical score. The published placings retain Scorpions Playa third and HELLJUMPERS fourth.[2][3] The recovered records do not explain the playoff selection or coded outcome, so no withdrawal, disqualification or played-match score is inferred.
Event title and season context
[edit]Although the July event title calls it an opening round, the same league calendar lists earlier March and April events, including an April competition described as a final round.[1] The July title is therefore retained as the name of this three-player event, rather than evidence that it was the league's first tournament or sole opening round of 2026.
These event placings do not independently establish final season champions.
