== Preservation of paintball history ==

=== Equipment documentation ===

MCB members have contributed to discussions identifying historical markers and their manufacturers.

These discussions are useful for reconstructing the development of equipment that may have limited surviving manufacturer documentation.

=== Technical knowledge ===

The forum preserves information about repairs, modifications and discontinued components.

=== Photographic records ===

Members have shared photographs of collectible markers, custom builds and historical equipment.

=== Period publications ===

The website also hosts digitised historical paintball publications.

These include archived issues of magazines such as:

* ''Paintball Planet''
* ''The Paintball Trader''

The archived publications provide contemporary evidence about the sport's development during the early 1990s.[3][4]

=== Research value ===

The forum is a useful source for researching paintball history, particularly when contemporary manufacturer records are unavailable.

However, individual forum posts may contain recollections, speculation or unverified information.

Historical claims should therefore be compared with original advertisements, tournament reports, patent records and contemporary publications whenever possible.
