=== Early women's teams (2006β2008) === Women's competitive paintball was established in Malaysia by the mid-2000s, alongside the development of national tournament circuits. One of the earliest documented all-female teams was '''Tornado Angels'''. A first-hand account published by Malaysian player Jeff Low on 6 November 2006 identifies Tornado Angels as an all-female team associated with Team Tornado at a Malaysian National Paintball League event.[1] By 2007, women's teams were achieving results in the national league. At the fifth round of the 2007 MY-NPL season, held at the Malaysian Paintball Academy in Petaling Jaya on 10β11 November, '''Sogo Ballbusters''' finished third in Division 2. Another team, '''Honey Bzz''', finished fourth in the same division. The tournament attracted 100 teams across its divisions, demonstrating the scale of organised tournament paintball in Malaysia at the time.[2] A Singaporean paintball publication dated 26 November 2008 identified three established Malaysian all-female teams: * '''Tornado Angels''' * '''Venus''' * '''Sogo Ballbusters''' The publication described the presence of women's teams in Malaysia as an established feature of the country's tournament scene, contrasting it with Singapore, where the newly formed [[Team Atrox]] was being introduced as an early all-female team.[3]
