== Paintball facilities == Bay of Plenty Paintball Club operates facilities for bushball and speedball at the park, including a playing field equipped with inflatable Sup'Air bunkers.[2] On 22 May 2019, the club announced that its new field was ready following approximately two and a half years of fundraising and construction. Its first official club day was advertised for 9 June 2019.[5] TECT funding supported site clearance and levelling, safety netting and supporting infrastructure, including a water tank, generator and trailer-mounted toilets.[6] In September 2020, club treasurer River Jermyn reported that the dedicated site provided reliable access for members and enabled the club to attract tournament players from across the North Island.[6]
